As account director, I led a digital program for World Rugby, including the Rugby World Cups in 2021 (womens) and 2023 (mens). I managed three project managers, developers, UX/UI designers, testers, and analysts across several scrum teams. A key achievement was the 2021 Rugby World Cup app for women’s rugby in New Zealand.
Our team developed new native apps offering fans real-time updates, personalised notifications, match centres, news, and video highlights. We collaborated closely with World Rugby to meet their vision, ensuring the app delivered an immersive fan experience. Through strong leadership and innovation, we successfully created a user-friendly platform that enhanced fan engagement and exceeded client expectations.
